Out of nine designed border crossings six have been constructed: Cera, Čepikuće, Vukov Klanac, Vitaljina, Gejkovac and Pašin Potok. As opposed to the simplicity and antiquity of metaphoric implications of border crossings, design briefs were complex, formed by a number of security demands, protocols and schedules. Apart from managing to handle the procedural complexity of designing public buildings, the most important part of the process was to incorporate the border crossings into real-life and specific topographies and match them to real places and views.
